Fisher Associates is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer to join our Energy Group. The Civil Engineer will lead Environmental Management & Construction Plan (EM & CP) work for electric utility projects in New York and work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to facilitate approval of permit applications and plans.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

- Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy
- Lead Environmental Management & Construction Plan (EM & CP) work for electric utility projects in New York.
- Work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to facilitate approval of permit applications and plans.
- Responsible for utility right-of-way erosion and sediment control design, grading plans, environmental assessments, client/agency interaction, storm water planning and inspections.
- Prepare and lead the team in the preparation and modification of designs, calculations, construction cost estimates, reports, permit applications, construction plans, and specifications for the project.
- Responsible for site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, drainage systems, regulatory permitting issues, etc.
- Oversight of construction observation of projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
- Responsible for design associated with the site utility electric, natural gas, and telecommunication services.
- Develop proposals and design cost estimates for utility projects
Requirements
Education & Experience
- B. S. in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Experience with Article 7/Article 10/94C in New York
- 5-10 of experience in, and knowledge of, multiple aspects of Civil Engineering and site design
- Professional Engineering license a plus but not required
- Experience with AutoCAD
