EMR/EHR Applications Analyst
Job Duties:
· Assists in the implementation, upgrade, and technical support of applications, including EMR systems.
· Provides application support by resolving service requests for EMR and other systems such as HRIS.
· Offers support to end users, including clinical and support staff, to triage and troubleshoot application issues.
· Researches, diagnoses, troubleshoots, and identifies solutions to resolve issues.
· Documents the triage, troubleshooting, and resolution steps during the troubleshooting process.
· Aids in resolving critical errors and unexpected downtime until issues are resolved and systems are fully functional.
· Sets up user accounts in applications, including Staff and Provider Profiles, assigning roles and managing licenses for EMR system modules.
· Processes and maintains documentation for licensing/subscription addenda for audit purposes.
· Completes vendor subscription processes for timely onboarding and offboarding of associates.
· Supports peripheral and interfaced devices integrated with clinical software, and performs basic desktop and network troubleshooting.
· Participates in EMR-related testing and assists with data analytics tasks like establishing dashboards and running reports.
· Develops documentation and instruction manuals for end users.
· Keeps up-to-date with technology through educational opportunities and certifications.
· Participates in Change Advisory Board meetings.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
· 2+ years of EMR/EHR experience.
· Familiarity with clinical workflows within an EMR. Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR is a plus.
· Basic proficiency in HR platforms (e.g., UKG/Kronos) is preferred.
· Self-motivated and proactive.
· Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
