SalaryWe are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to oversee and manage Employee Relations matters across our multi state organization, with a specific focus on California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, deep knowledge of California labor laws, and a proven track record of resolving complex Employee Relations issues.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Employee Relations issues, including conducting investigations, providing guidance on policy interpretation, and resolving disputes.
- Develop and implement Employee Relations strategies and programs that align with company goals and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Advise and train managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in California, and ensure company compliance.
- Partner with legal counsel as needed to address complex Employee Relations issues and mitigate legal risks.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Maintain accurate and complete Employee Relations records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Employee Relations, with a focus on California employment law.
- Post secondary education experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in California.
- Proven ability to effectively manage complex Employee Relations issues and investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably PAYCOM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
