Brown & Brown is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Client Account Manager Sr. for its Employee Benefitsteam in Lambertville, NJ.
This position is responsible for client service support to the sales and account management team using a variety of skills and knowledge of the insurance market, products and legislation. Handles all aspects of account servicing for medium to large book of business and/or all lines of coverage under supervision.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide direct daily support to an assigned book of business, and the respective Producer and Account Executive.
- Provide excellent customer service to the clients' employee membership, as well as the carrier account management teams.
- Research and resolve employee claim and enrollment inquiries and/or discrepancies within a reasonable timeframe.
- Provide documentation and guidance to client employees regarding active medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and FSA programs, COBRA, Healthcare Reform, Federal and NJ State Mandates, and other related employee benefit topics.
- Preparation of customer renewal proposals while ensuring the use of internal required documents.
- Assist in client specific projects as assigned by the Producer.
- Participate in client calls and meetings as appropriate.
- Able to prepare materials and present at employee meetings at the client level in conjunction with others.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 5 years' experience in the insurance industry with a strong emphasis in Employee Benefits insurance.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience.
- NJ Life & Health insurance license (if not already held, obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Must have detailed knowledge of a CRM system.
- Proficient with management operating systems that support insurance sales, tracking and service.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
- Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
- This position requires routine travel that may involve a teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle; acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position.
