SUMMARY
The Manager will be responsible for oversight and direction of multiple engagements and special assignments. The role requires oversight of multiple team members, review of working papers and financial reports for accuracy and ability to maintain client relationships across a variety of industries and sizes. This is a client facing role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting
- 5 + years of public or private accounting experience
- Experience supervising multiple team members across remote environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership of work
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
- QuickBooks experience required
- com experience required
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Sage Intacct experience preferred
- GAAP understanding preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain ownership of multiple engagements across a variety of industries and sizes
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the clients accounting operations
- Obtain working knowledge of accounting software packages
- Review month end close procedures and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Prepare financial statements for clients by the agreed upon deadline
- Prepare custom financial reports
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with established timelines and budgets
- Identify opportunities for additional client services
- Interact with clients on a regular basis
- Train, oversee and develop team members
- Facilitate outside annual audits
- Effectively communicate all aspects of work performed to clients, team members and principals
- Ability to research and resolve complex accounting questions
