About the Role

Sibylline is looking for an experienced Business Investigations Data Visualisation Specialist to join our team, embedded within our clients organisation. The Business Investigations Data Visualisation Specialist will be able to adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong analysis skills, and be technically savvy with the ability to skilfully conceptualize and synthesise disparate data. For this role, we are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have knowledge or expertise in Data Visualisation or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, SAS Analytics, Tableau, Google Analytics, QuickSight or Qlik).

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Define Raw Data
  • Visualizing and developing BI solutions (Dashboards, Scorecards, Analytic reports)
  • Implement best practices to ensure dashboard design consistency for the best user experience
  • Design and test analytics platform code.
  • Data Preparation (Predictive & Restrictive)
  • Enhance and Streamline data collection process
  • Custom Analysis
  • Long term research and prediction
  • Using statistical techniques, collect and analyse data from the client’s internal databases and systems and convert it to actionable intelligence;
  • Lead the design of comprehensive data, intelligence and value proposition tools;
  • Identify and communicate trends within complex datasets to stakeholders across the business, including the top problems that need to be solved and how to solve them proactively;
  • Use internal data analytics tools to develop data dashboards that can be accessed by corporate security partners and senior stakeholders on demand;
  • Improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for implementing databases and data collection systems
  • Plan, research and draft a range of tailored reports to deliver actionable insight for internal clients, including periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, etc.) and bespoke briefs with minimal supervision;
  • Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results;
  • Display creative thinking and consulting skills
  • Identify gaps in crucial data, information and intelligence, and submit plans to fill them;
  • Conduct briefings as needed for a variety of levels of customers as requested (via phone, video conference, in-person briefing, or industry conference);
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders across the client business

Qualifications

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Management
  • Between 3-5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 1 year’s experience working with Data Visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, SAS Analytics, Tableau, Google Analytics or Qlik);
  • Passionate “data cruncher”, with the ability to collect, collate, manipulate and visualise data from a wide variety of sources;
  • Demonstrated ability to extensively analyse data, trends and produce quality, forward-looking briefings;
  • Ability to liaise with other business departments to implement technical solutions specific to data analysis;
  • Previous experience using proprietary databases and systems, including the handling of sensitive data and information;
  • Comfortable engaging and partnering with senior stakeholders;
  • High level competency with MS Office tools (particularly Microsoft Excel);
  • Strong numerical skills, with a strong eye for accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to produce quality, finished written reports for short deadlines;
  • Self-starter who is able to appropriately prioritise, plan their own work and agree on team workload management with peers;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure;
  • Inclination to work in a process-driven environment, striving for consistency and conformity in methodology and output;
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal);
  • Open and flexible mindset, with a willingness to learn and gain new skills;
  • High level of integrity and initiative.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or above) in a relevant subject.
  • Programming experience with SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, or Python.

Successful candidates will be invited to complete a writing assessment (at an arranged time to suit you) to test writing and analytical ability, followed by a set of psychometric tests. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a final panel interview. In the current environment, our interviews will be conducted virtually. 

​The remuneration for this role is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on qualifications, aptitude and experience.
