Overview:
We have an immediate opening on our 2nd Shift for an Electronics Technician to troubleshoot and repair complex LED and wireless systems on the manufacturing line. This role requires hands-on experience using various hand and power tools to test and analyze system components and circuitry. To succeed in this position, you should also be able to build and document complex troubleshooting guides and have strong computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Work as a part of the quality department to enhance first-time manufacturing quality.
- Repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems.
- Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaising with supervisors to discuss work schedules and time and material cost estimates.
- Estimate damage and calculate the cost of materials.
- Provide training and supervision for new technicians and apprentices.
- Performing equipment demonstrations, drawing up training manuals, and creating troubleshooting guides wherever required.
- Test system functionality and analyze data.
- Interpret drawings, training manuals, and instructions to perform duties.
- Following written and verbal instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers and other cross-functional teams on technical tasks.
- Attend regular training workshops and provide reports to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Electronic troubleshooting in Manufacturing experience
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or similar with good academic standing OR will consider candidates with 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.8 is required.
- Demonstrated competency in repairs, electronic circuit testing, and troubleshooting, at the component level.
- Be able to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry.
- Familiarity with working with various tools and equipment (E.g., Oscilloscopes).
- Strong technical computer system (hardware & software) knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite. SQL experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2nd Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm + (10%) shift differential pay.
Monday - Friday schedule
