Electro-Mechanic:
POSITION SUMMARY
In alignment with company vision, mission, values, and objectives, the Maintenance Mechanic helps with upkeep of buildings; repair and maintenance of mechanical systems, such as plastic Thermoforming machines, CNC Machines, air compressor and cooling/heating systems; and installation of system components.
The Maintenance Mechanic is expected to perform emergency repairs, which necessitates the ability to troubleshoot promptly and work with large production machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Performs routine preventative maintenance and service for all plant equipment
* Completes repairs and parts replacements on all plant equipment
* Inspects machines regularly for signs of malfunctions
* Maintains a clean and organized work area
* Works effectively with other team members. Participates in cross department collaboration.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* Successful trade or vocational school completion
* 5+ years" experience as an electro-mechanic or in a similar role
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Ability and experience troubleshooting AC and DC 3 phase motors, electrical panels, heaters, sensors, and solenoids.
* Experienced using multi-meters for testing circuits
* Understanding of lock out/tag out and other safe work environment practices
* Ability to communicate in English
* Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to act competently in emergencies
* Working knowledge of two or more trades in manufacturing and plant environment
* Physical dexterity
WORK CONDITIONS
The employee will work in the plant. They will spend most of their time on the plant floor or in the maintenance shop. Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary to comply with government and company safety standards.
