The Maintenance Mechanic is a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the efficient repair and maintenance of production and facility equipment. The successful candidate is expected to be knowledgeable in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of machines and equipment, and must be able to diagnose problems and determine the necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.
Summary: Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, performs preventive and predictive machine maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
- Must be able to read and understand machine control circuit wiring
- Must be able to write and install basic machine control circuitry
- Oversee new equipment installation and assist new start-ups to ensure expected performance
- Advise Maintenance Manager and Operations management of unanticipated delays in machine operation
- Follow work order schedule for production and non-production-related activities
- Maintain non-production systems, replacing filters, hoses, etc., per manufacturer’s specifications
- Maintain electronic inventory to ensure parts availability
Qualifications:
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and projects
- Excellent attention-to-detail
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs. or more
- 8+ years of Maintenance Mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to understand hydraulic prints
