Job Description

This position is responsible for Mining product value chain design, network modeling processes, and management of respective network databases, working with logistics, operations, product and process engineering, product support and lifecycle management, and key business partners. The incumbent supports the development of network models for product management decision-making in partnerships with all levels across all businesses including the general managers, product managers, supply chain managers, performance managers\engineers, and after-sales managers throughout the product line and product lifecycle. In addition, this role is intended to develop strategies for value chain design to deliver performance and OPACC improvements aligned to the Mining product business objectives.

Job Duties:

Engineered Value Chain Design and chain conformance.

Value Chain Manufacturing Engineering and Planning.

Prime product and aftermarket product family source planning.

Parts sourcing including make/buy, NPI, and aftermarket.

EVC Network Modeling and Product Cycle Planning (including inventory and availability).

NPI Value Chain Collaboration and Change Management (including mBOM and design for value chain).

Product and process change control as it relates to the value chain.

EVC Mapping and Optimization Throughout Product Lifecycle.

Development and Deployment of EVC Analytics Tools / Chain Improvements.

Coaching and Deployment of LEAN.

Accountable for Time (Takt & Lead).

Cost (NPC, Inventory, Capital).

Quality of Product (APQP, value chain defects and defect avoidance).

Health of Engineered Value Chain (QVC, Change Pathway Management).

Leads and owns network modeling processes and supports:

• Engineered Value Chains modeling of Current State and Future StateProduct Source Planning modeling resulting in Cash Flows analysis for business proposals

• Modeling to support decision-making within processes such as Sales & Operations Planning, Rolling Business Management, target setting.

Leads and own EVC design:

• Create and maintain sourcing matrix and network design to achieve defect-free execution.

• Design point of use components/modules & packaging for optimized chain.

• Collaborate with RISM and Operations team to achieve QVC targets and build a robust supply network.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Value Stream, Industrial Engineering, or related quantitative field.

Minimum of 8 years of value stream or related experience.

Top Candidates will also have:

Knowledge of the business model, strategic framework, and strategic planning process.

Deep financial acumen and related experience to analyze, interpret and draw conclusions within the framework of business OPACC and NPV\IRR performance opportunities.

The incumbent needs a breadth of knowledge and experience, with deeper experience in at least 3 domains such as product management, supply chain management, corporate finance, cost accounting, procurement, manufacturing engineering, and strategic program management.

Advanced capabilities in strategic thinking, strong customer focus, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to navigate

through ambiguous business challenges and persuasion/influence.

The location for this position is Tucson, AZ, Decatur, IL, Aurora, IL, or Peoria, IL.

Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

This position may require 25 % travel.
