Electronics Technician / Manufacture

General
We are seeking a Manufacturing/Electrical Technician (40 hours) for production in our Longmont, Colorado facility. The candidate should be very flexible, hands-on and detail-oriented. The technician will be responsible for the assembly of products including soldering, wiring, testing and following work instructions. Responsibilities also include helping staff with test and calibration setups, running bench tests, incoming inspection of products, and keeping the factory organized and stocked with supplies. The position requires previous manufacturing experience in high-technology products. Strong troubleshooting experience is required.

Duties/Requirements:
- Electronic Troubleshooting
- Electronics Assembly Experience - Must have excellent soldering skills and can read schematics
- Product Assembly Experience – Familiar with the assembly of precision mechanical products, in both development (with frequent changes) and production (with yield optimization) environments
- Documentation Experience - Creation/upgrade of Work Instructions, ECO implementation, initiate and secure build/test logs and other documentation for audit traceability
- Materials Management Experience
- Maintain Manufacturing Inventory (incl. cycle counts/reordering activities)
- Manage Material Review Board (MRB) for control and disposition (RMA/RTS) of nonconforming materials
- Occasional trips to machine shops or other suppliers (mileage reimbursed)
- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds around the factory for various needs.
- Capital Asset Management
- Setup, assist and break down of capital equipment for calibrations and experiments.
- Clean equipment and scrub Pelican cases upon arrival - Incoming Inspection jobs (run threads, clean parts, etc.)
- Performs basic incoming inspection of field equipment through use of detailed checklists
- Install hardware to supplier products and test before using in production
- Help with shipping equipment, packing, validating shipping checklist, torquing connectors, and run threads on parts, etc.
- Assist with shipping and receiving (low volume)
- Facilities Management
- Clean and upkeep of Optics and Electrical/Mechanical lab, reorder supplies as required
- Ensure correct tools/hardware are available for use (labeled for and current on calibrations and testing)
- Helps keep overall factory clean, removing or cutting down boxes for trash, etc.
- Material ordering for development and production
Qualifications:
The desired candidate will have experience in all or several of the below areas. Some on-the-job training is acceptable for candidates with a strong desire to learn any skills they are lacking.
- 2 years of desirable experience in mechanical, physics, computer science or electrical technology
- Must have excellent soldering skills and can read schematics
- Can use MS Office, Excel, and general computer literacy
- Manufacturing experience, using precision assembly tooling and test equipment. Familiarity with ESD protocol.
- Exposure to MRP software (Oracle, SAP, etc.) and related processes & procedures (Bills of Materials, Production Orders, Routers, etc.)
- Setting up laptops parameters as well as loading a variety of software and licenses.
- Detail oriented and can meticulously follow checklists and other instructions
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-driven to achieve defined goals and metrics with proven ability to think independently to develop new and unique approaches to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Job Type: Full-time, in-factory
Salary Range: $35,000 to $54,000 per year

- High school or equivalent; Associates degree or equivalent a plus
- Solder/ESD certification a plus
- Electrical Technician Certification a plus
Experience:
- Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
