Lead Building Automation Technician - Technology Solutions

Overview:
The Lead Building Automation Technician assists in the installation of Building Automation controls on various commercial job sites. This position is also responsible for complying with Encore standards for Safety, and Customer Service.
Compensation Range for this Role: $27.60 - $42.00 (this is including an additional 20% per hour as a job site incentive)
Responsibilities:

• Assists in the installation of Building Automation systems
• Pulling wire, working with PLC's, panel enclosures, raceways and more relevant tasks
• Works with a commitment to safety

• Comes to work on time every day with appropriate attire and tools
• Keeps work area clean
• Installs quality work in a neat and workmanship like manner

• Works and climbs on ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
• Identifies electrical parts and components
• Perform strenuous physical work i.e., digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing
• Keeps up with changing technology
• Keeps up with the national electrical code
• Wears tools at all required times
• Work in all weather conditions

• Basic electrical principals to install and troubleshoot Building Automation systems

Physical Requirements:
A functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions. The physical requirements can often be completed repetitively and for extended periods of time. These requirements include:

• Driving

• Lifting, floor to chest (up to 50lbs)
• Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs)
• Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm)
• Carrying (up to 50lbs)

• Stooping
• Vision acuity (near, far and without color deficiencies)
• Walking
• Kneeling
• Trimming (final installation of electrical devices)
• Pushing (up to 100lbs)
• Pulling (up to 100lbs)

Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in construction, specifically in Electrical/Building Automation. Formal education in Electrical is also preferred.
