Technical Order Fulfillment Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is fully located on site at our warehouse and depot located in the NE Castleton area of Indianapolis, IN and is for first shift Monday through Friday. This position will be responsible for shipping computer hardware and peripherals to end customers at client request.  Computer systems and drives will be configured, staged, and personalized prior to shipping.  Returns will be evaluated and diagnosed and wiped back to factory OEM conditions if necessary.  We require someone who is very detail oriented to ensure the accuracy of shipment notes, tasks, and inventory counts.

OUTLINE OF ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Pick, pack, and ship equipment with keen attention to detail.
  • Documents shipment tracking information in an internal ticketing system.
  •  Reviews requests and contacts customers via email or phone to clarify shipping information as needed.
  • Professionally handle phone and email interactions with clients, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
  • Connects devices to a network switch and performs deployments and provisioning using a technical guide.
  • Provide computer drive wiping and re-imaging related services using a technical guide and established procedures.
  • Proactively address issues on client hardware, showcasing adaptability in problem-solving with minimal instructions.
  • Assist with freight and package deliveries, and weekly inventory counts as needed.
  • Relies on instructions, installation scripts, and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Packing, picking, and shipping experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic note taking ability and experience using call ticketing software is a plus.
  • Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skill familiarity to resolve networking and software problems quickly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with drive imaging and backup software and procedures is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop PCs and peripherals and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures using basic step-by-step written technical guides and knowledgebase.
  • Ability to lift smaller boxes and items weighing from 1 to up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in computer hardware support.
  • Experience in packing and shipping of products is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting at $19.00 an hour depending on experience and technical aptitude.
