Electrical Revit Designer

Our electrical consulting firm was established in October 2013. Our mission is to create electrical and low voltage engineering solutions that our clients envision with the latest technologies and to earn their respect with quality assurance and controlled delivery methods. With more than 80 years’ experience between the four principals, the firm provides electrical engineering and low voltage systems services for various market sectors including: Critical Facilities/Data Center, Education (K-12 and Higher Education), Food Service, Healthcare, Hospitality, Industrial, Institutional, Office, Residential, Retail, Sports/Recreation, and Theatrical.

Our Alameda office is looking to bring someone on board. We are seeking to hire someone who will provide drafting support for all projects using AutoCAD and REVIT with management and engineers to coordinate multiple assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specification, written, and verbal instructions using computer aided drafting programs.
• Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
• Setup drawings, backgrounds, schedules, and details per company standards.
• Update contract drawings and specifications.
• Updates master schedules and details.
• Assist in setting up standards.
• Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to engineer or project manager for review.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Basic Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Skills to interpret Architectural and Engineering documents.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions/instructions.

Credentials and Experience:

• Career certificate or Associates degree in computer aided drafting, engineering design technology, and
• Two years of experience as a drafter with hands on computer drafting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be at the discretion of the management and will be evaluated by management.
