We are currently seeking anRevit Designer to join our Aviation team in Los Angeles, Ca.
Position Summary:
Assists the senior engineering staff in the execution of the technical activities required on assigned projects and learns the discipline technical policies and procedures. Under supervision participates in technical studies, investigations and designs on assigned projects. Assists the project team in the production of projects on time, within budget and of high technical quality.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Learns to understand company technical policies and procedures during the execution of projects for clients.
- Under supervision assists in the execution of design processes on assigned projects and requests assistance from senior technical staff when needed.
- Determines design criteria, drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components and refining rough sketches and notes to include material quantities and equipment specifications obtained from standard calculations and vendor catalogues.
- Technical adequacy of non-routine work is reviewed during progress and on completion; routine work is reviewed upon completion.
- Assists the design team in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines.
- Observes and learns the execution of specific engineering studies and design analyses.
- Accompanies senior technical staff in performing on-site inspections during construction and learns how to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers.
- Actively participates in professional organizations where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced.
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five or more years of drafting and engineering technician experience.
- More than 3 years of professional experience using Revit.
