IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Designer in our
Manhattan | Avenue of the Americas, NY
office. As an Electrical Project Designers you will be responsible for the overall, multi-discipline supervision of assigned projects. Will typically be responsible for a large project or several small projects with many complex features. Additionally, may be responsible for directing a staff of designers, engineers and technicians while also obligated to actively bring work into the firm. Some key duties and responsibilities include:
- Specify equipment based on project needs and available technologies, research resources for commercially available equipment;
- Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work; review all files to determine scope and personnel involved;
- Maintain good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files;
- Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers;
- Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress as related to fee expended;
- Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check;
- Prepare and issue addendum information;
- Recognize potential project problems quickly and seek advice from the Project Manager;
- Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Project Manager;
- Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement;
- Mentor designers and /or technicians.
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
- Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics;
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM;
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
Education and experience requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Minimum 4 years of qualifying experience.

Salary Range: $80,000- $105,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. In addition, IMEG Corp. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
