EFI is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Department at ourInkjet Business Unit in our Londonderry, NH office.
Job Description:
As an Electrical Engineer you will be involved in conceptualizing, specifying, designing, validating and releasing electricaldesigns and components for all sub-systems that make up a Grand Format Printer. Your designs will range from simplistic to challenging re-designs thatincorporatenew technology, resolve systemic issues, reduce costand improve quality. You will work on all sub-systems that control carriage drive, media transport, ink delivery, communication and safety.You will select, test and releasecomponents from board level replacements and design up to machine level sensors, switches, encoders, controllers andpower supplies. This may involve board layouts, making cables, wiring devices and installing or deinstalling electrical components to test as well as working projects from reported issue through design change and then to engineering change resolution and production release.
Job Requirements:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 2-7years experience.
- Exceptionaldesign,analysis, testing andtroubleshootingskills.
- Able to convert a concept into a design quickly and efficiently.
- Skilled at wiring and reworking cables and circuits.
- Able to create Bills of Materials andEngineering Change Orders.
- Provide advancedelectrical testing and data capture methodsfor use during production.
- Fluent in using a broad range of electrical test equipment. (including DMM, Oscilloscope, logging, data acquisition, etc)
- Experienced with the application and programming of PLC's.
- Skilled at working with component suppliers.
- Able to work on multiple projects at any given time.
- Limited travel may be required.
- working on and testing live electrical equipment following safety standards. Ac and dc up to 480volts.
- CAD experience highly desirable, with experience in Solid works a major plus.
- Basic knowledge of UL, CSA, CE testing and requirements a plus.
- Basic knowledge of machine safety classifications and requirements a plus.
