Drafter/CAD Operator IV

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Drafter/CAD Operator IV to support our government customer located in San Antonio, TX.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a resource person to Project Managers.
• Provide guidance in the design of construction projects.
• Assist government staff in adjusting current drawings and assist recommend changes based on their understanding and knowledge of the project.
• Design and draft CAD (computer-aided design) drawings.
• Develop and maintain customization of CAD templates and layering standards.
• Follow project schedules.
• Work closely with government project managers, and project engineers to assist with development of project packages.
• Develop and review Architectural/Engineering (NE) service packages, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
• Assist in the maintenance of the CAD and Draw base drawing libraries.
• Maintain Master construction specifications and drawings.
• Maintain Master Life Safety Drawings.
• Prepare presentation materials using AutoCAD graphics.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• High School Diploma or GED.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 6-months experience with Computer Aid Designed (CAD) programming over the past 5 years.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must pass a Tier I background check.
