Job DescriptionSpectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our civil aviation programs, . The Engineer will work in support of the Visual Guidance Lighting Systems project team. BSEE 1+ years of experience (internships, co-ops and part time work included) or MSEE with 0+ years is required. The position is based at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey. Partially Remote.
Position is for hands-on Electrical Engineer with interest in hardware testing, circuit analysis, and installation of systems/components, with some work in system engineering.
The prospective candidate will work with Visual Guidance Lighting Systems project team. The candidate will participate in the Test and Evaluation process including field installation, system testing and specification development activities, requirement verification, and writing of test plans, procedures, and reports. Candidate will also support the installation of lighting systems at the WJHTC VGLS test facility
Responsibilities:
- Support requirement research for lighting system requirement document
- Conduct the RRCS component, LED flasher testing using the approved test procedures
- Develop test plan, procedures and report
- Support the installation of the lighting systems
- Install runway lighting equipment on test bed
- Create and maintain drawings and schematics pertaining to test bed using CAD software
- BSEE with 1+ year of experience (including internships, co-ops, part time work) or MSEE with 0+ years of experience
- Hardware testing and circuit analysis
- Experience using test equipment
- Technical Writing Skills
- AutoCAD or similar preferred
- Software skills helpful but not required
- Electronic and/or Lighting Systems a plus but not needed
- Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
