Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is responsible successfully planning, designing and engineering of the Companys industrial equipment as it relates to all electrical components and control panels. Must take all necessary steps to adhere to electrical and safety code requirements driven by industry standards. Must also aid production and service departments to troubleshoot in house and customer related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, Design and ensure proper fabrication of electrical controls for Companys equipment
- Develop and Maintain accurate customer and in-house fabrication drawings and as-built documentation for future reference
- Ensure designs meet NFPA, NEC and also country or customer required certification standards
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and participate in efforts to integrate production improvements
- Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
- Team with Suppliers, Mechanical Engineering, Service and Manufacturing to develop cost effective and creative solutions to design problems.
- Assist production team with questions or troubleshooting fabrication issues.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Assist service department and customers with troubleshooting efforts.
- Where needed, assist with equipment PLC set up and programming.
- Assist and maintain accurate standards records.
- Assist with equipment analysis in terms of risk of potential hazards.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Friendly and Professional tone and actions
- Microsoft Office/Windows
- AutoCad
- Inventive problem-solving skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong Ability to Multi Task
- Strong knowledge in AB PLC, RS View HMI
- Project and Process Management skills
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated, need to visit customer sites to assist with equipment troubleshooting.
