Electrical Engineer – New Jersey

Our fast- growing client, North America's leading iron pipe manufacturer and supplier, located in Phillipsburg, New Jersey is seeking an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations to ensure our systems meet required safety standards and collaborating with technicians and computer programmers to solve emerging issues. Research, develop, design, improve and test electrical equipment, and systems. Research manufacturing processes and analyze data and trends to create new products. This position is a fulltime on-site position.

Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical equipment, systems and establish manufacturing processes.
• Direct activities ensuring that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to function specifications.
• Perform risk assessments and confirm compliance with safety standards and engineering codes.
• Conduct research to build new applications and collaborate with peers to craft/apply new system processes.
• Manage projects and deliver on time.
• Define and ensure installations and applications are in line with customer needs and requirements and safety standards.
• Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy IT systems, summarize data and report on test results.
• Evaluate new equipment needs, calculate costs and help prepare budgets.
• Oversee maintenance inspection plans, assist in solving equipment malfunctions.
• Train technical and non-technical personnel on new equipment operations.
• Supervise Maintenance personnel and/or contractors as needed.
• Any other tasks as advised by management.

Electrical Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years related engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Read and write Allen Bradley PLC programming. SLC 500 and ControlLogix -required
• Ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget
• Excellent in all forms of communication skills.
• Read policies and procedures; most of which are in English. Read and communicate moderately in English
