Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team for a dynamic project focused on the production development of the electrical systems for a new simple Light Electric Vehicle (LEV). (<1500w) You will play a critical role in designing, selecting, documenting, and integrating the electrical components for efficient and reliable function in scale production.
Responsibilities:
Specify, design and develop the complete electrical system architecture, including motor controller, 12v lighting and air compressor system, and IOT integration.
Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation for the electrical system, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure compatibility between the electrical system and the LEV's physical design.
Work with manufacturing partners to develop a production-ready and cost-effective plan for the electrical system.
Integrate electrical components with software systems for motor control, battery management, and vehicle diagnostics and lighting.
Perform comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of the electrical system to identify and resolve issues.
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in LEV electrical systems and relevant software integration practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in designing and documenting production-ready electrical drive and lighting systems.
Proven experience in integrating hardware electrical components with software systems for control and communication.
In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle (EV) electrical systems, including battery management systems, motor controllers, and power electronics.
Understanding of relevant industry standards for EV safety and performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Experience working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
