In a Nutshell:

We are looking for a welder with MIG and/or TIG experience. Reading blueprints is a must. We are seeking an experienced MIG or TIG Welder with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminum welding to join our team. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating aluminum components for various projects. You must be proficient in MIG welding techniques and have a strong understanding of welding principles. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential. Attention to detail is critical, and if you have experience with working with materials ranging from 1/16" to 3/4", please apply.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Welding Operations:

  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment to fuse metal parts using MIG welding techniques.
  • Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.
  • Thoroughly fill routers

• Equipment Maintenance:

  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • Regularly inspect welding equipment and machinery for any issues and report any maintenance requirements.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Always wear appropriate protective gear, such as masks and gloves.
  • Ensure work environment is safe and that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Stay updated with the latest safety practices in the welding industry.

• Quality Control:

  • Ensure all the materials are properly cleaned before proceeding to work the metal.
  • Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Ensure the final product meets the set quality standards and specifications.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate any issues or delays to the supervisor promptly.
• Productivity
  • Efficiently manages time and knows what needs to be done to meet KPIs (key performance indicators)
  • We believe curiosity creates opportunity and in this role, we are looking for someone that can propose new ideas to become more efficient, whether it be through fixtures, jigs, tooling, and process improvements to eliminate waste.
  • Properly use jigs and fixtures
  • Is able to find new and better ways of doing things

Relevant experience, skills, and mindsets that we value:

• 5+ years of MIG welding experience
• 2+ years reading blueprints 
• Follow written instructions, verbal communication, and documented procedures in English
• Ability to drive forklift preferred but not required
• Excellent knowledge of measuring tape 
• Excellent knowledge of proper use of jigs/fixtures
• A reliable team player works productively with others and has excellent interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
• Ability to climb stairs and ramps
• Twist body repeatedly to tie straps
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, lift, grasp, talk, hear and see objects
• Ability to work outside in environmental conditions, which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
• Have the ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support repetitive or continuous movements
• Have the ability to be on your feet for extended periods
• The ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
