Currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to have technical responsibility for all electrical design aspects and a limited amount of mechanical design aspects of the Airframe Power product line from a preliminary design phase through the final design phase including production, customer, and field support.

- Seeking an Electrical Engineer who will report to the Product Engineering Manager and have responsibility for power electronics that provide integral support to various aircraft systems on a wide range of airframes.

The Role
- Review design requirements and evaluate existing or new designs theoretically and with test data for verification of compliance.
- Lead major tasks involving technical proposals, test plans, test reports, building prototypes, conducting tests, and attending internal and external meetings to meet all objectives.
- Maintain design control integrity of the drawings.
- Achieve program and productivity goals directed by Management.
- Review, understand, and support Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/Government customer program requirements for existing and new designs; including technical proposals, detailed design activities, electrical circuit analyses, reliability analyses, preliminary/critical design reviews, qualification test plan development, and returned material analysis.
- Provide on-site technical support for fielded production or prototype designs
- Follow existing guidelines, procedures, and priorities of work for Product Engineering tasks including OEM Program Management, Productivity Projects, New Technology, and Departmental Projects.
- Develop and implement designs that meet the design intent with analytical or physical test substantiation that establishes compliance with all Customer and Regulatory Specifications and internal requirements.
The Background Profile
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering required; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering a plus
- 1-3 years of experience in an Electrical Design environment required
- Extensive expertise in Power Electronics/Systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation
- Strong experience in ORCAD or other electrical circuit analysis tools (e.g. SPICE)
- Extensive experience with designing, analyzing, and testing AC/DC (including 3 phase AC), DC/DC and High Voltage Circuits desired
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-460, MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160 requirements preferred
- Ability to work onsite in the Greenville, SC office
