The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division (NUWCDIVKPT) Detachment Pacific (Code 04/TDC) functions as NUWC’s forward presence in the Middle Pacific, Guam, and Western Pacific (WESTPAC) providing Detachment/Site Management in accordance with the Commanding Officer's (CO) letter of delegated authority to provide for program management, planning, policy, and execution of assigned programs and facility operations at the Detachment; monitor Safety and Occupational Health (SOH), physical and information security, personnel administration, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and professional development and morale, environmental compliance, appropriate interaction with all levels of Government and public affairs functions, site and area coordination for emergency preparedness, facilities management and space utilization, site material readiness, proper use of Government equipment and proper expenditure of funds, and adherence to good management practices and controls; manage the Detachment/On-Site Office (OSO); perform Navy programs duties under authority; manage military personnel allowance in accordance with Navy regulations, including Article 15 authority (non-judicial punishment); and serve as the Command's representative to the local installation CO or facility host in negotiating for utilities, security services, and facility maintenance. Divisions supported within this task are Hawaii Fleet Test and Operational Assessment Division (Code 24), Pearl Harbor Torpedo Division (Code 34), and Fleet Technical Support Division (Code 45).

 

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Mid Electrical Engineer will assist in the test and evaluation, analysis, and assessment of U.S. Navy Systems on the Hawaii Detachments Support Services contract. This position is located in Honolulu, HI.


  • Monitor Fleet training schedules to identify requirements for analysis support.
  • Assist Government personnel with briefings and planning conferences with platforms under test as required to develop test scenarios and data collection requirements.
  • Perform on-board and/or onshore data collection and complete reconstruction and analysis of events in accordance with established procedures.
  • Process the platform and range data into data files to perform real-time or post-operational exercise debriefs.
  • Collect and compile the platform data packages and forward to Government personnel on shore for post-operational exercise reconstruction, analysis, and report generation. Generate data files and data reports to perform post-operational exercise debriefs to platforms.
  • Extract, process, reduce and reconstruct exercise data from various Navy data collection systems, instrumented tracking ranges, electronic devices, and logs.
  • Perform detailed event and data analysis (i.e., timelines, narratives, overall event execution descriptions, etc.) as required to support training and debriefs.
  • Support coordination, resolution of problems, and new requirements for processing hardware and software.
  • Reduce/analyze test data in accordance with established format and schedule.
  • Coordinate with and support Government analysis personnel to complete project requirements.
  • Provide debrief utilizing data files and data reports collected during exercises.
  • Provide the necessary reports, data tables, documentation, graphs, charts, videos, and other visualizations to support events analysis.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering.
  • At least one (1) year of engineering work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess a basic understanding of the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 ASW Combat System.
  • Basic knowledge of the AEGIS Weapon System is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of surface ship maintenance procedures highly desirable (Code 242 candidate).
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Travel Required ~40-50%.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $85,000 – $90,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
