Electrical Controls Engineer.

• Make necessary electrical panel layout drawings, electrical designs, and electrical CAD schematics to ensure the design meets industry and regulatory standards and project requirements.
• Make appropriate calculations, research performance standards, and component selection to ensure design specifications are met.
• Design various sections of equipment to meet required specifications.
• Prepare bills of material and other paperwork per internal standards.
• Attend and participate in design reviews for evaluation of work order requirements to design, and cost implications.
• Design and develop machine logic in PLC, operator interface applications, and program servo motion controls.
• Change drawings in accordance with ECO procedure.
• Check drawings and bills of materials as relates to assigned projects.
• Ensure design considerations, concepts, and software codes are documented.
• Represent design team in work order reviews and final design reviews as required.
• Start-up and debug machine before shipment.
• Assists in field start-up and solving machine problems in the field.
• Direct various design activities on assigned projects.
• Review with the design team to ensure quality and internal design practices are being met.
• Travel as required for the role.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of controls (PLC, HMI, and Motion Controlled Programs)
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering design practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills on a technical level.
• The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, excel in a team setting, demonstrate effective planning and problem-solving skills, and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of 2 years of work experience in electrical design or a technical role.
• A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States permanently. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
