Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Execute a variety of projects ensuring proper definition of requirements, interfaces and software for the Vehicle Control subsystem.
· Design, integrate, implement and validate Vehicle Control subsystem functions
· Use sound engineering principles and adhere to business standards, practices, and procedures, to develop product / program requirements
· Lead/support investigation, root-cause identification, and resolution of reliability issues
· Ensure that the documentation of technical data and software generated for the assigned project is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
· Work as part of a cohesive design engineering team
· Conceptualize and prepare preliminary and final detail design and documentation of Vehicle Control systems software, components and assemblies
· Present work to customers at product reviews
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
· 3 to 5 years of Experience and Understanding of C, C++, MATLAB and Simulink
· Ability and willingness to work "hands-on" in test labs and on large vehicles with high HP (1000 KVA), medium voltage (2 KV) and high current (10 KA) systems
· Experience in software development & qualification for transportation drive systems
· Experience with system level validation test planning and execution
· Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
· Willingness to work in a customer facing environment, in a fast paced development environment
· Solid oral and written communication skills
