Controller

Job Description:

One of the largest commercial electrical companies in Western PA, is seeking an experienced Controller to become a part of our team. The Controller is responsible for managing the company’s accounting department and monitoring the upkeep of its financial health.Prior construction industry experience a plus and will report directly to the President of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports.
• Prepare payroll for union and internal employees weekly.
• Responsible for the reviews and procurement of the business and health insurance.
• Assist in the implementation and administration of 401k Plan.
• Monitor cash flow.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage software programs for accounting.
• Manage banking relations.
• Prepare all tax documentation; monthly, quarterly and yearly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for audits and reviews.
• Support senior management in financial planning, forecasting and long-term planning.

Qualifications & Abilities:

• Fluent with budget planning, balance sheets, and month end close practices.
• A problem solver with strict attention to detail.
• Collaboration with other team members and departments.
• Social critical thinking and judgment for decision making.
• Familiar with union payroll.
• Prior experience in construction industry a plus.
• Foundation software a plus.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or business administration
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Compensation: $80K-$95K
