You will be responsible for computing and computer networking setup, configuration, and deployment to the field in the building automation and physical security industry with attention to best cybersecurity practices. In the field, they will be responsible for the commissioning of these system alongside field employees and will be responsible for future maintenance of these systems.
- Review specifications, drawings, and estimates
- Resolve design issues with the hardware design team
- Assist in developing IT and cybersecurity standards and streamline processes
- Set up and deploy computers and computer networking equipment per best practices
- Set up and deploy Access Controls, CCTV, or other building or electronic control systems per project specifications and drawings
- Coordinate with field teams to commission installed systems
- Support and maintain customer sites as projects go into service
- Other duties may be assigned
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Four-year degree or related work experience required.
- 2+ year of relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience with security and VMS systems such as Ecostruxure, Genetec, Amag, Lenel, Verint, Cognyte, Pelco, and Milestone.
- An understanding of HVAC, access, CCTV, or other building or electronic control systems.
- A working understanding of computers and computer networking. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA preferred.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages preferred.
- Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
