Job Description
Position: EHS Specialist - Level 1
Location: Mountain View/ Sunnyvale
Summary:
The role will be working with both principle business owners and vendor partners, you will support day to day responses and inquires with current company approved information. In addition supporting other program initiatives developed by the EHS team as needed.
Responsibilities
● Responding to staff inquiries in writing via an online ticket management platform.
● Responses are crafted based on documented guidance.
● Assess the priority of any reported illnesses using defined criteria such as travel, close contact history, displayed symptoms, and testing results.
● Follow up with involved parties to request further information and context as needed.
● Flag any cases with potential local reporting requirements.
● Coordinate and work with various agency points of contact to share relevant and approved data as necessary

● Diligent attention to detail.
● Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
● Strong analytical and problem solving skills
● Ability to exhibit efficiency, initiative, resourcefulness, and flexibility.
● Ability to plan, execute and deliver on varying simultaneous tasks in a timely manner while working independently with little supervision.
● Ability to work well under pressure and stay immaculately organized.
● Exhibits professionalism, discretion, and integrity; highly trustworthy and able to reliably handle confidential information.
● Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
● Able to work flexible hours
Preferred Qualifications
● The Environmental Health & Safety Professional Certification
● Strong computer skills (e.g. email, instant message, Google products including online collaboration tools like Docs and Spreadsheets, Sites etc.) and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
