JOB SUMMARY
The Educational Outreach Manager/Coordinator at Southern Regional Technical College administers the promotion, development, and implementation of specialized educational programs aimed at K 12 audiences within the 11 counties the college serves and the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission's service area. This role primarily focuses on initiatives such as the K12 InVenture Prize, the Foundational Leadership Entrepreneur Experience (FLEX), and other Georgia Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing endeavors. The position requires a solid commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship skills among K-12 students and educators through community engagement, partnership expansion with K-12 schools, local manufacturers, and the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Analyze Outreach Objectives: Assess the goals and objectives of educational outreach programs, identifying target demographics and specific needs within the community;
- Support the Development of Student Retention Programs: Devise strategies to retain students within targeted groups, fostering continued engagement and participation in educational initiatives;
- Support Teacher Development: Identify opportunities to support educators in enhancing their teaching methodologies, providing resources and training tailored to their needs;
- Coordinate Program Implementation: Direct and oversee the stages required to meet program objectives, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless execution;
- Prepare monthly reports;
- Community Outreach/Involvement; travel is required to counties within the service area: Atlanta and other GA AIM-sponsored activities outside of Thomas County;
- Support planning and managing of events: Assist in strategically planning, scheduling, and executing promotional events to raise awareness and drive participation in educational initiatives;
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in related field and Two (2) years related work experience
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to the minimum qualifications:
- Prior experience in K-12 STEM education, educational outreach, program development, or community engagement
