Ecommerce Sales Manager

About the Role:

Cannondale's North American Sales team is excited to add the new role of Ecommerce Sales Manager to the team. This is a multi-faceted and cross-functional role that spans sales strategy, operational excellence, and strategic merchandising. You will be accountable for sales forecasting and ecommerce revenue targets, provide your expertise on paid ad spend to ensure sufficient site traffic, and manage day-to-day operations of the function. As the subject matter expert for ecommerce operation activities, you'll partner with the Product and Marketing teams to optimize site merchandising and omnichannel strategy and ensure a top notch online purchasing experience for B2C and B2B customers.

How You'll Contribute:

Sales/Ecommerce 

• With support from the NA Sales Leader, drive the ecommerce business, creating and delivering sales plans, forecasting revenue and unit volume with accountability and ownership for meeting targets. 
• Monitor inventory sell-through and availability, influencing merchandising, sales, and promotion strategies. 
• Support Performance Marketing team on focus areas for digital ad spend to support ecommerce channel. 
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure ecommerce needs are being met for product launches and brand campaigns. 
• Together with the NA Sales Leader, establish metrics, methodologies and dashboards to track and analyze ecommerce business. Use insights to optimize customer experience, customer acquisition and conversion  
• Perform evaluation of campaign performance.  Collaborate with digital marketing team to implement changes for future campaigns based on agency recommendations and learnings 
• Optimize current ecommerce program offering in order to remain competitive in the marketplace 
• Apply merchandising expertise to dealer B2B in order to enhance site experience. 
• Contribute to optimization of customer online journey that supports purchasing Cannondale products both online and locally from retail partners 

Operations 

• Monitor ecommerce transactions for any processing delays (e.g., stock outs, payment errors, fraud) and partner with customer service on corrective actions. 
• Lead ongoing ecommerce process improvements across cross-functional teams by proposing, defining, and driving operational projects to completion.  
• Contribute to defining and improving customer pre and post purchase experience, from order placement to product ownership support.  
• Support cross-functional business partners with requests pertaining to ecommerce initiatives and serve as the subject matter expert for all fulfillment and ecommerce operations activities.  

• Contribute significantly to Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) regional expansion efforts. 
• Partner with sales operations to optimize BOPIS retailer program. 

Qualifications: 

• 3-4 years' experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or sales operations  
• College or University degree in marketing, digital, business, communication, or related field 
• Experience merchandising a website/brand with ecommerce functionality 
• Strong project management & analytic skills 
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills 
• Experience working in ecommerce environments  
• Experience in bicycle or other high-end consumer goods industry 
• Experience using Google Analytics 4, SAP and Power BI a plus
