As part of the Adelante Mujeres Early Childhood Education team, the Early Childhood Education Coordinator supports the ECE Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of the infant, toddler, and pre-school programs. They ensure and promote each child's safety, health, and development in coordination with their parents, teachers, manager and in accordance with each child's needs and abilities. This position ensures that the ECE staff work as a team to provide a developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum, instruction, and environment which meets the needs of the children and families. The ECE Coordinator supervises a team of teachers and reports to the ECE Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In collaboration with ECE Manager, drafts and updates recruitment plans, program calendars of service, home visit timelines, staff training calendar, and collection of data.
  • Supports classroom and program monitoring through site visits, classrooms observations, review of electronic records, and work groups.
  • Partners with staff, parents, families, school district staff and other stakeholders to ensure families and young children are at the center of service delivery.
  • Uses strengths-based coaching that helps early childhood educators build sills and competence.
  • Works with the ECE leadership team to support the long-term and strategic program planning, implementation and vision ensuring that benchmarks are established to measure outcomes of ECE program goals
  • 70% of the time supervising and coaching teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
  • BA in Early Childhood Education or similar related field OR step 9 or higher in ORO
  • Bilingual-Bicultural in English/Spanish preferred
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and possess a strong aptitude for quickly learning and adapting to new software tools as needed for the role
  • Committed to education, social justice, women's empowerment and the environment

Additional Requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical accommodation
  • Complete Criminal Background Registry enrollment letter for facility number CC503161
  • Possess current driver's license and auto insurance coverage
  • Ability to travel out of town to attend workshops or trainings.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $60K - 64K depending on qualifications.
  • Classification: Full Time, Exempt
  • Telework: up to 1 day a week
  • Benefits: health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, 401K pension plan, life insurance, EAP, professional development opportunities, paid leave of absence, paid holidays (12.5 days annually), sick days (9 days annually), vacation per year (20 days years one through five, 25 days after five years), and sabbatical (1 month at 10 years of employment)
