JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope
The Early Childhood Teacher Assistant will be under direct supervision of the Lead Teacher. The
The teacher Assistant will assist in the delivery of Reggio Emilia teaching strategies. The Teacher Assistant must have a strong foundation in Childhood Development and must work well with children, other teaching staff, and Director(s).

Supervision
The Early Childhood Teacher Assistant works under the supervision of the Lead Teacher,
Directors, and Director of Programs.

Responsibilities
● Demonstrate an understanding, patient, and receptive attitude toward students of
● varied age groups.
● Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
● Attends and engages in ongoing professional development to improve personal and professional skills.
● Keeps current credentials and degrees in accordance with all accrediting and regulatory bodies.
● Assist in lesson planning (experienced preferred).
● Ability to multitask.

Qualifications & Requirements
● H.S. Diploma or equivalent
● CDA Credential in Infant-Toddler, Two’s, or Preschool.
● Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred).
● Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check.
● Proof of a physical examination within the last six months.
● Passion for the mission of Nurturing Niche.
● Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
● Personal qualifications as required in PART 407: Licensing Standards for Day Care

Centers, emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health does not interfere with responsibilities.

● Must be able to lift 50 pounds (average child’s weight).

Education, Training, and Experience:
● Current CPR and First Aid Certificates are required within two months of employment.
● Have education or experience in collaborating with parents in the education of their children.
● Demonstrate an understanding, patient, and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups.
● Experience with Google Drive, and Microsoft Suite.
