About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Intervention Support Teacher for our Kindergarten. In this role, you will work closely with students to provide assistance in managing behavior and fostering social and emotional learning. Reporting to the Division Head, the Intervention Support Teacher will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for our young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Implement effective strategies to support students in managing behavior and developing social and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with classroom and specials area teachers to support and tailor strategies to meet individual needs.
- Conduct progress monitoring to assess the effectiveness of intervention strategies and make adjustments as necessary.
- Communicate with Division Head, Support Team, Teachers and at times families regarding students' progress.
- Collaborate with other members of the educational team to implement targeted interventions for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of intervention plans, progress monitoring, and communication with families.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in Early Childhood Intervention, behavior management, and social/emotional learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with Early Childhood students in an educational setting.
- Understanding of child development, behavior management, and social/emotional learning
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with families, teachers, and administrators
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
- Knowledge of various intervention strategies and the ability to adapt them to meet the unique needs of individual students
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of young children

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position available immediately through June 30. The expected base salary range $66,000 - $149,080, commensurate with education and experience on the faculty salary scale. The salary will be pro-rated, as the scale provided applies to 10-months of employment.
