Key Responsibilities:- Execute and oversee all testing and therapeutics within the Cath lab, encompassing cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural heart procedures (e.g., LAAC, TAVR).
- Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff, ensuring an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Utilize the appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
- Assist patients through all aspects of procedures, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedures, patient monitoring, hemostasis post-catheter/sheath removal, and facilitate the return to the patient's room. Manage emergent cases.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records. Complete all paperwork associated with procedures and prepare tests for physician interpretation.
- Demonstrate flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to function well under stressful situations.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and provide orientation as needed.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire.
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Shift times: 7a – 7:30p (12 hr shifts).
- Must have experience – ARRT/RCIS cert preferred.
- Open to reviewing CVOR/CST with strong Vascular/IR exp.
- Experience in Scrubbing, Monitoring, and Circulating required.
- 4 years of Cath/IR experience strongly preferred.
- No mapping experience needed (performed by a third-party company).
- Unit Beds/Rooms: 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per day.
