Summary
Teacher Assistant support Lead Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for children with and without disabilities. Assists in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. Must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assist in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities..
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness,and availability of classroom materials.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and willing to sign up and complete Intro To Child Development at a community college.
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- An understanding of child development or willingness to learn.
- Must clear full background check and must pass drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Completion of EDU 119
