Position Type: Part-Time or Full-time, Direct-Hire
Description: This position assumes responsibility for the general supervision, development, education and assessment of children in a busy childcare center.
Position Requires: A minimum of 1 year experience within the last four years, including at least 6 months of care for infants and toddlers in a center-based setting. Must have a minimum Teacher Level Permit and must be able to obtain DRDP Rater Certification within 3 months, CLASS Training to be completed within 1 year of hire and ERS within one year; maintain as needed. A BA in Early Childhood Education and, Human development or other related field with minimum of 24 core ECE semester units (including at least one course in the care or development of infants and toddlers) and must be willing to participate in activities that further own professional growth (averaging 21+ hours per year). Completion of CPR, pediatric first aid & CPR, mandated reporter, pest management and safe sleep training (for infant educators) training. Physical ability to bend and be eye-level with small children, sit on low chairs and/or floor and lift up to appr. 40 lbs if needed; and work with diverse populations and with disabled or challenging children. Selected candidates must also maintain a clear and active exemption-free status with Community Care Licensing for the duration of employment with FSA and must pass a health screening test, immunized against: Influenza (ability to decline with a signature), Pertussis and Measles, Covid, TB test and Drug screening Clearance.

Classroom Assistant, #38714

Description: This position will assist the Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher with the day-to-day operations of a busy childcare center.
Position Requires: A minimum of 6 months experience caring for infants and toddlers in a center-based setting is ideal. Minimum of current enrollment in or the completion of one core Early Childhood education college course For Infants and Toddlers, at least one course in the care or development of infants and toddlers is preferred and continual enrollment in a minimum of one course per semester until the 12-core Early Childhood education units are obtained. Application for an Associate Teacher permit is preferred once qualified. Completed DRDP training. Completion of CPR, pediatric first aid & CPR, mandated reporter, pest management and safe sleep training (for infant educators) training.
