Job Summary
The E-Communications Specialist, under general supervision, manages Texas A&M International University's (TAMIU) e-marketing projects and web presence. This position will develop and implement projects/strategies for the continual enhancement of the current website design and organization and be responsible for search engine optimization, e-marketing, and social media strategies to drive additional visitors to the website.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creates, implements, researches, and maintains e-marketing initiatives to better communicate with TAMIU's existing customer base, as well as attract new prospects via email marketing, social media, virtual environments, etc.
  • Develops and implements projects and strategies for enhancement of the website, including overall page design, to better market TAMIU's programs and services.
  • Develops promotional graphics, as requested, and member-level pages of text, graphics, and interactive media.
  • Supervises student workers that assist in e-marketing and website initiatives.
  • Develops external site content and graphics, and edits interface and content for TAMIU's portal pages.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Researches, recommends and implements creative e-marketing initiatives across platforms including Google, Meta, Spotify and other designated platforms, and provides e-marketing budgetary guidance to designated offices.
  • Coordinates vendor relationships with digital marketing vendors and ensures brand continuity.
  • Creates, implements, researches, and maintains e-marketing initiatives to better communicate with TAMIU's existing customer base, as well as attract new prospects via social media, digital environments, etc.
  • Supports University social media efforts through the creation of interactive media, including social media post-production, photography, and video.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in applicable field.
  • Experience - Four years of related experience in e-marketing/web communications and e-marketing campaigns which use pay-per-click and electronic newsletters.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
  • Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Web site organization/design, search engine optimization, and internet technologies and terms.
  • HTML.

Ability to:
  • Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work independently once given a project.
  • Think creatively and implement concepts in a web environment.

Preferred Knowledge and Abilities
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Knowledge of trends in targeting audiences and interpreting analytics
  • Knowledge of web site organization/design, search engine optimization, and internet technologies and terms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design.

Licensing / Professional Certification- None.

Salary: $21.11/hourly
