Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead structured regular safety meetings for drivers. Develop meeting content and build knowledge amongst team.
- Develop new hire process for on-boarding, DOT drug testing, MVR verification & reporting.
- Create job observations and complete driver observations. Quantify specific areas for improvement and follow-up.
- Re-trains after accidents, near misses, and/or negative observations.
- Investigates, reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedure and monitors for compliance.
- Work closely with insurance carrier to ensure constant compliance.
- Timely reporting of all incidents.
A. Education and Experience
- Experience: Direct safety supervisor over company drivers
