Mandatory Requirements:
- Experience in the trucking industry.
- Extensive knowledge regarding DOT Compliance (Hours of Service and Vehicle Maintenance.)
- General tech knowledge (because you will be using a computer daily and operating various software programs.)
Duties will include the following:
- DOT Compliance - Managing and monitoring Hours of Service, Log Records, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) for all drivers to ensure that we reduce violations. Assigning unidentified trips daily. Auditing the driver logs twice per week. Checking Truck Folders quarterly.
- Safety - Monitoring our Motive account for safety issues such as speeding and hard brakes, and coaching drivers when this happens. Scheduling and attending quarterly safety meetings.
- FleetMaintenance - managing PMs and safety inspections, scheduling repairs and annual inspections. Maintaining records of maintenance work performed on the trucks and trailers. Compiling invoices for maintenance and repairs from all vendors and creating and maintaining an electronic system for us to track repair costs to each truck or trailer.
- Operations - Preparing a trailer location report weekly. Making a parts run occasionally. Checking the trucks and trailers on the yard for any obvious issues such as bad tires, missing mudflaps, etc.
