The DOT Administrator will be responsible for supervising and ensuring compliance with drug testing regulations at Savage. They will also aid with DOT-related tasks, including Team Member setup, tracking, and compliance with regulations across all agencies, as well as company and customer policies. Additionally, the Administrator will perform other tasks assigned by the Manager of DOT Compliance.

- Systems support for drug tests, MVRs, and Driver Qualification files, including adding and removing users, answering operations questions, and reporting on data.
- Review flagged driver qualification items for deficiencies and work with operations to resolve them.
- Renew annual federal, state, and hazmat operating permits.
- Maintain compliance with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol clearinghouse.
- Assist in responding to Safety Performance History Records Requests for previous Team Members.
- Work with operations managers, site coordinators, safety personnel, and recruiters to obtain information and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and report on FMCSA scores and address any inaccurate data on the record.
- Responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change based on the company's needs.
- Experience as an HR Generalist or working with FMCSA rules and regulations where confidentiality and attention to detail matter.
- Manage and maintain all printed and electronic driver drug testing, qualification files, medical files, and compliance files securely and confidentially.
- Work well with internal and external customers.
- Problem-solving skills and communication skills.
- Minimum High School diploma /GED equivalent; some college preferred.
- Intermediate Excel, Word, Outlook, and related computer software skills.
- Knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations preferred.
- Experience managing Drug and Alcohol Testing and Driver Qualifications files.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, set goals, and accomplish responsibilities with limited supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management.
- Exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Be professional and detail-oriented, have excellent customer service skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
This position works primarily in an office environment.
- Communication typically occurs through e-mail, telephone, and written correspondence, but face-to-face interaction is integral to the role. This job also requires using other office equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
- Occasionally travel to meetings throughout the office, other company office sites, and client locations.
- Must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential physical functions of the position.
