Job Position: Donations & Inventory Coordinator
Reports to: Program Director
Status: Part-time 15-18 hours/week (T, W, Th 9-2pm) Occasional Saturday (10-1)
FLSA Category: Non-Exempt
Compensation: Starting rate $21/hour
Uncommon Threads is a non-profit located in Lawrence, MA under the fiscal sponsorship of Family Services of the Merrimack Valley. The program's mission is to empower low-income women to live their best lives by utilizing personal development coaching and individualized wardrobe styling to build self-esteem and self-worth.
We are seeking a highly organized individual with a background and/or interest in fashion to manage apparel inventory and the client boutique. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of mainstream and designer brands, an understanding of current styles, and the tech skills necessary to track donation partnerships and inventory.

DUTIES:
- Solicit and coordinate wardrobe donations from individuals, clothing drives, local boutiques, and apparel lines
- Sort, screen, and process all incoming donations (assisted by volunteers)
- Supervise volunteers to assist with donations and boutique tasks
- Channel donations to the appropriate place based on criteria (client boutique, to sell at Uncommon Closet/social enterprise, or to donate if not appropriate for program)
- Manage, analyze, and track client inventory to ensure the boutique is fully stocked
- Maintain the client boutique and donation room to keep both spaces tidy and organized
- Pick-up donations from the community as needed
- Plan, coordinate, and run events to purge excess inventory (for instance, dock and tent sales)
- Maintain communication with the Program Coordinator, Uncommon Closet Manager, and volunteers to ensure proper flow of items
- Move excess inventory donations to social service partners
- Provide photos/updates to be posted to the Uncommon Threads social media channels and website to request specific needs and recognize donors.
- Communicate with donors and work with the Office Manager to send thank you letters using the Uncommon Threads donor management system
- Manage the wardrobe donor spreadsheet and track all incoming and outgoing donations
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate degree
- Strong knowledge of women's fashion and designer lines
- Highly organized
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong computer skills, Google Drive experience preferred
- Must be able to push, pull, or lift 30 pounds
