Job description
Our VISION is to provide the highest quality of genuine care to each dog that enters our facility. We aim to provide a clean, safe, comfortable, enriching, and FUN environment that can allow dogs to thrive, relax, and LOVE coming back! Please note we are both an indoor AND outdoor facility.
We are seeking an experienced Dog Daycare Pack Leader to join our team and supervise one of our Daycare playgroups. This position does require at least ONE YEAR of experience at another Dog Daycare, Rescue Group, Training Center, etc. managing a group of unleashed dogs. This is a part time position ranging from 15-30 hours per week. There is definitely room for growth both in hours and advancing your role within our team.
WE ARE:
- Dynamic and Passionate: We have created a unique daily schedule for our Daycare that puts the dog FIRST (brain games, cage-free play, movie/nap time, and more). Canine Enrichment is extremely important to us!
- Customer-oriented: Our customers (human and canine) are everything, and everything we do will show it.
- Hardworking: We word HARD while still managing to have a great time! We are definitely not sitting around petting puppies (but it is a fun part of the job).
- Enthusiastic: We really like what we do and we're the kind of people who love to come to work on Mondays. If you get bummed by the thought of going to work, we are not the place for you. Attitude is everything in this business!
- A Team: We want to appreciate, encourage, challenge, support, and genuinely like the people who work with us. If this sounds good to you and if you've had practice being a person who appreciates, encourages, challenges, supports, and genuinely likes your team members, please apply! Again, having a great attitude and helping out when needed is huge with us.
YOU ARE:
- A Dog Lover: Not only do you think dogs are cute, but you know how to be around them, manage larger groups, predict behavior, and act quickly and calmly.
- A True Dog Lover: You don't mind picking up dog poop, mopping up pee, and cleaning up after dog barf. As a matter of fact, you see each of these instances as a way to inspect how the dog is doing - Was the poop runny? Was there something odd in the puke? Dogs are messy, but we love them!
- Willing & Able: To work hard. To put in the effort that is part of growing as a person and growing professionally. To learn new things (and eager to learn). To be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented: Everything matters. From the way the dogs are managed, customers are greeted, the way a room is left when you leave it, everything.
- Reliable: You arrive to work on time (five minutes early) and you follow through with tasks. When you say you'll do something, the people around you know that it will happen on time. Again, we are a team!
- Someone who likes to wear many hats: We are a small business that is growing quickly! We need someone on our team who is happy to step in almost anywhere there is a need.
- Self Starter and Independent. We need someone who thrives in this setting and takes ownership of all assigned duties with ease.
