Job description

As a member of the Data Analytics Unit, the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I (Specialist) works independently to oversee employee survey development and project management of the Employee Viewpoint Survey. Under the direction of the Research Data Supervisor II, the SSM I (Specialist) coordinates with relevant units, ensures timely distribution, analyzes gathered data, and presents actionable insights to improve employee engagement and organizational performance.
In addition, the SSM I (Specialist) provides consultation throughout the department to executives and senior management to determine their needs for data and provide support in the application of survey results. The SSM I (Specialist) will also serve as a liaison to Department of Justice leaders to connect to other business areas that provide services that support employee engagement and organization effectiveness.

    • Leading organization wide projects (include scale and purpose of projects).
    • Developing surveys and analyzing survey data.
    • Working with survey tools such as Survey Monkey.
    • Problem solving to address issues such as survey participation, data accuracy and overall implementation.
    • Communicating change management principles to implement initiatives based on survey findings.

  • Project management and analytic skills.
  • Experience managing employee engagement surveys or similar projects, preferably within a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Experience with survey design, data analysis, and presenting actionable insights.
  • Knowledgeable in the broader field of human resources, state civil service laws and rules; and the ability to understand organizational structures.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to consult, advise, and gain confidence of executive management.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of information and records.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple and changing priorities with accuracy.
