Multi award winning Destination Management Company, MC&A, provides a range of specialized services for its clients, from event development and strategy to creative direction and design, from budgeting and on-site execution to financial reconciliation.
We are currently seeking a Program Managerto join our Phoenix team. This position is fully remote and must reside in Phoenix.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Program Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics/activities of his/her programs including but not limited to developing and implementing workflow processes and organizational structure, managing budgets per job, and managing internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities include:
· Manage a diverse portfolio of event logistics including but not limited to site selection, registration, transportation, tours/activities, event set-ups, food & beverage, security, onsite personnel, and special events.
· Work closely with the sales team to review event/program details on a per client basis.
· Manage the program budgets to ensure the maximization of gross profitability, including negotiating with vendors and upselling to clients.
· Work with Account Executive and project team on RFP process that includes proposal development, site inspections and pricing.
· Responsible for daily operations and event reconciliation
· Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
· Manage on call staff, ensuring all meet company and program objectives. This includes recruitment and training of on call staff.
· Liaison with business units to oversee proper implementation of all events, meetings, campaigns.
· Take role in developing and implementing best practices and processes to improve overall operational efficiencies.
· Work closely with the Manager of Operations to develop and provide vision and business objectives for the operations side of the office.
· Assess and report metrics critical for business unit performance.

Qualifications include:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Meeting/Event Planning, or related field preferred
· Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in the DMC industry preferred.
· Work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
· Knowledge of MS Access helpful
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Must be able to effectively multitask. Oversee concurrent projects in deadline driven environment and manage multiple responsibilities and personalities simultaneously.
· Detail oriented, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as with a team.
· Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to lead as well as participate as a member of a team.
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to train staff to deliver the best customer service.
· Knowledge of the local destination/market
· Self-starter who can work with minimal direction.
· Excellent judgment, especially when to escalate issues for resolution.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and potentially holidays and flexibility to be onsite for length of events as necessary.

Physical and Mental Demands:
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 60% of the time.
· The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

· Must be able to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
