Our Dive Boat Captains are critical team members in ensuring our livelihood. Their responsibility to the crew and customers is unmatched in our operation. The captain’s role is to ensure both the safety and enjoyment of the customers. All crew must report directly to the captain while on board and the captain acts as a manager while onboard with duties and responsibilities of a manager and team leader.

Manage crew on board in accordance with Kona Honu Diver’s standards... A happy and productive crew ensures happy and appreciative customers.

Essential functions:

• Maintain good standing with Captain’s Licensing
• Understand how to Maintain and Repair a Dive Boat
• Comunicate with other captains on changes on board and procedures
• Perform random drug screenings
• Safely operate the dive vessel keeping passengers, crew, and vessel from harm
• Strong communication skills that enable you to connect easily with guests and crew members
• Facilitate all paperwork necessary for the operation of diving activities and boat
• Flexible schedule required-ability to work nights and weekends
• Ensure continuity between passengers and manifest
• Clean/maintain Boat to professional standards.
• Must have the ability to oversee activities on the water keeping lines of sight and communication clear.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
