Calling all salty souls and boating enthusiasts! Freedom Boat Club, the nation's leading private member boat club, seeks passionate and experienced captains to join our team for the 2024 season. Embark on a rewarding journey of mentorship and professional growth as a Seasonal Training Captain at our Somers Point, NJ docks.

In this adventurous role (April-November), you'll:

• Deliver comprehensive training: Bring our established and industry-leading training to life! From basic safety knots to advanced offshore maneuvers, our comprehensive training caters to all experience levels, equipping new members for every adventure.
• Foster confidence and competence: Guide new members from diverse experience levels, empowering them to navigate the waters with confidence and enjoyment.
• Become an integral part of a vibrant team: Collaborate with fellow Captains and club staff to ensure seamless member experiences and contribute to the success of our prestigious New York locations.
• Collaborate and lead: Foster a positive and supportive environment for fellow captains and club staff, contributing to the seamless operation and success of our prestigious New York locations.

Qualifications:

• Valid US Coast Guard Captain's License (required)
• Must be 21 years or older
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the role
• Strong knowledge of boating safety and operation principles
• Proven ability to effectively train and educate people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
• Calm demeanor and ability to navigate stressful situations with composure
• Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining a high standard of personal presentation
• Must be a self-starter with high attention to detail

Thrill new boaters, earn top dollar, and soak up the Sun! Guide eager learners through two transformative 2-hour sessions, blending classroom and hands-on experience.
