We are currently seeking a Distribution Channel Manager to join our team. This individual will drive the commercial operation of the Sunmi distribution channel to ensure profitable and smooth execution of all processes supporting the Sales function. Primary emphasis on North America with responsibility for global partners as strategically applicable.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Execute the Sunmi Distribution strategy within the North American region.
- Coordinate with Finance and Sales Operations on the development of standardized logistics, supply chain, and returns processes that maximize scale and results.
- Coordinate with Product Management and Sales Operations on the development of processes for price issuance, price protection, credits, and market development funds.
- Negotiate contract terms and agreements.
- Identify and recruit new Distribution partners as applicable.
- Oversee the Distribution inventory planning and procurement processes to ensure achievement of revenue goals while balancing financial metrics.
- Develop monthly sales forecasts to ensure demand requirements and revenue targets are met.
- Work continuously with Distributors to improve the demand forecasting and information sharing process.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure available supply meets forecasted demand and project requirements.
- Communicate constraints during times of reduced supply.
- Act as primary point of contact for all communications with Distributors.
- Create vertical sales plans with Distributors on an annual basis.
- Conduct quarterly planning sessions with Distributors.
- Build trusting relationships with distribution partner management, procurement, marketing, and sales teams that increase awareness and share of Sunmi products.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing on the planning and execution of Distributor marketing activities.
- Define, develop, and implement a Distribution Product Training Plan.
- Regularly travel to Distribution sites to conduct sales and product training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or equivalent.
- 5-7 years experience in a previous Distribution/Channel role within the POS or payments industry.
- Proven understanding of Distributor organizational, supply chain, and financial models.
- Experience with departmental or divisional P&L management.
- Solid track record of channel management, partner relationship building, and customer service.
- Experience in growing sales and market share through the indirect channel.
- Product knowledge of point-of-sale systems, payment devices, peripherals and software applications preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking capability with ability to leverage data-driven arguments to make decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, project management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence without authority in a matrix environment.
- Ability to correspond independently with senior executives.
- Initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing deadline driven environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize as workload changes.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
