What we're seeking:This position is the principal contact between U S Chemical and our customers. By ensuring complete customer satisfaction, this position retains and grows our customer base, generating the sales revenue necessary for U S Chemical.
What you'll do:- Achieve sales forecast while controlling expenses.
- Field trainer of the chemical specialist and sales force of assigned customers in all aspects of the institutional chemical market.
- Focal point of resources to improve/enhance business and relationships between U S Chemical and the customer.
- Co-manager of our customers' marketing and sales efforts, working with customer ownership/management in the development of these efforts. This includes participating in the planning and activities related to shows.
- Conduct training/sales meetings with assigned customers to ensure effective use of selling aids, literature and product demonstrations.
- Conduct regular reviews of chemical programs with customer ownership/management.
- Make suggestions as appropriate to improve the profitability and effectiveness of our customers' chemical programs.
- Prepare required reports and files on a timely basis.
- Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. BA/BS preferred.
- Minimum Experience required: 5+ years industry experience preferred.
- Travel: Ability to travel by plane or car regularly and for long periods of time.
- Physical Requirements: Work in an office environment and be able to bend and crouch in order to install chemicals and work with laundry and ware washing machines.
- Ability to work independently and in self-directed avenues towards providing optimal business results.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external customers.
- High level of problem solving and analytical ability including sound judgment in decision making
- Ability to set clear objectives and goals and develop accurate measures for performance against those goals.
- Possess willingness to be the only champion for an idea or position, as well as a comfort level with working alone on a tough assignment.
- Working knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
